The Contemporary Music Centre presents Solo Series Live concert tour in association with Diatribe Records

The Solo Series Live concert tour features four internationally renowned chamber musicians: Isabelle O’Connell (piano); Paul Roe (clarinet/bass clarinet); Simon Jermyn (bass guitar) and Izumi Kimura (piano), performing new work by Irish, Japanese, US and European Composers in the Regional Cultural Centre, Donegal; the Triskel Arts Centre, Cork; the Mermaid Arts Centre, Bray and in St Mary’s Church, part of Eigse Arts Festival, Carlow, 16 – 19 June 2011 inclusive.

Solo Series Live is presented with funding from the Music Network Performance and Touring Award and is part of the CMC’s 25th anniversary celebrations taking place throughout 2011.

Each musician will perform a solo recital as well as a series of group improvisations. Composers featured on the tour include Irish composers Donnacha Dennehy, Ed Bennett, Ronan Guilfoyle, Greg Caffrey, Gerald Barry and Simon Jermyn, alongside Japanese composers Takashi Yoshimatsu, Toshinao Sato, Mamoru Fujieda, Akira Miyoshi and American composer Wayne Siegel.
