Successful launch of new CD by John Gibson on his 60th Birthday.

The Contemporary Music Centre was filled with friends, family and fellow musicians to celebrate the launch of Cork based composer, John Gibson’s new CD at the centre on Wednesday 27 July. “The John Gibson Collection”, Volume 2 features new Orchestral, Chamber, Vocal and Piano Music. This is the composer’s sixth CD since the 1990s, on which he also performs. John is joined on the recording by some of Ireland’s finest performers, including the RTÉ Vanburgh Quartet and Deirdre Moynihan, Soprano. The launch of the CD by fellow composer, Vincent Kennedy was complimented by an outdoor performance in the CMC courtyard of works from the CD.

John, I cant believe the 60 about you, I think, any time I see you in my visits to Cork you look younger and younger. I wont be able to be there for the “gig”, I will be in the company of my youngest son Aengus here in the mediterranean coast as I havent been in Ireland for a while. But I am sure you will have lots and lots of musician friends from all over. I will be thinking about you and all the great moments we had together.
    Have a great day!!

Un abrazo muy grande para ti, y recuerdos a los amigos.

    Angel
