Fidelio Trio announce details of their 2014/15 season

The Fidelio Trio announce the details of their 2014/15 concert season at St. Patrick’s College Drumcondra, where they are Artists-in-Residence.

The ensemble have been in residence at the College since 2012, and perform regular lunchtime and evening concerts throughout the academic year, as well as hosting an annual Winter Chamber Music Festival. This programmes regularly mix contemporary Irish works with works from the classical/romantic canon, and works from composers in other countries. This season sees the ensemble give the Irish premieres of new works by Benedict Schlepper-Connolly, Mark Bowden, and Judith Weir, among others. Full programme details below.

As well as the regular lunchtime and evening concerts, the Trio presents the second Winter Chamber Music Festival, and will be joined by oboist Nicholas Daniel, violist Meghan Cassidy, and Irish composers Gerald Barry and Seoirse Bodley. Taking place from 5-7 December, the weekend programme includes three commissioned pieces, by Barry and Bodley, as well as works by Schnittke, Gubaidulina and others.
