The debut release, which is commissioned by the Dublin International Piano Competition (DIPC), will be launched by CMC Director Evonne Ferguson at a reception at the Royal Irish Academy of Music on 20 December.
Alongside a programme of classical, romantic and twentieth century works, Fiorentini performs Eibhis Farrell’s 2011 piece Gleann na Sídhe – the Fairy Glen. Commissioned by RTÉ lyric fm, the work was written as a test piece for the 2012 Dublin International Piano Competition and is published by CMC as part of its Piano Album VII.
A native of Donegal, Nadene Fiorentini has performed with the RTÉ Concert and Symphony Orchestras as concerto soloist following her success at the Dublin International Piano Competition in 2012. She was the highest placed Irish competitor that year, claiming the Brennan Prize, the National Concert Hall prize, the RTÉ Prize, the Seán O’Connor Bursary and the McCullough Bursary.
The disc is produced by Pine Valley Productions and is sponsored by Denis McCullough. To order a CD, please contact the Dublin International Piano Competition, email@example.com
