LA-based Irish composer Ciarán Hope’s new album Truth About Kerry is a soundtrack recording from the feature film of the same name. The feature follows an American girl’s journey to a small Irish fishing village, in an attempt to find out what happened to her best friend who was found dead 6 months earlier on a local beach. Shot on location in Waterville, Co. Kerry, the film stars Stana Katic.
Hope’s score features several Irish musicians, including violinist Cora Venus Lunny, Irish band Kíla, and Irish Uilleann piper Kevin Rowsome.
The album, which is officially released on 31 October 2012, is available as a digital download from Bandcamp.
